We will be hosting a pre-game tailgate tent prior to the Beverly-Danvers football game on Friday, October 15 beginning at 5:30pm. The game, the second night game ever at Hurd Stadium, begins at 7:00pm.
 
Our tent will be located on Essex Street about 20 yards north of the Mel Deveau Way entrance to Hurd Stadium. Fans stopping by the tent prior to the game will be treated to free hot dogs and apple cider.
 
The first 250 fans who stop by the tent prior to the game with a non-perishable food item will also receive a pair of commemorative "Light Up Hurd Stadium 2010" ThunderStix noisemakers (image below). The food items will be donated to Beverly Bootstraps.

 
“There is just nothing better than a high school football game on a Friday night in October and I am thrilled that hosting a night game at Hurd Stadium is becoming a tradition for Beverly football. I thought this would be a fun way to be involved and give fans a little something extra to help get people fired-up for the start of the conference schedule,"commented Schetzsle.

Schetzsle continued, "Collecting food for Beverly Bootstraps wasn't in the original plans, but I read the other day that they are facing some shortages due to increased demand at the food pantry and winter is quickly approaching, so why not try to help? I think a food item in exchange for something to commemorate the event they can use to make a little noise at the game is a pretty good trade for fans."
