One of my objectives for this campaign (in addition to winning of course) was to force a real debate on how Beverly is being represented on Beacon Hill and to ensure that the citizens of the city had a real, competitive campaign through which to evaluate the candidates for State Representative. As Michael Douglas says in The American President - American is advanced citizenship. You gotta want it bad, because it will put up a fight.

Well, I am happy to say that both party city committees are working hard to put up a fight. The more people who are engaged, the better.
