Trust & Accountability

I will represent you in an open and transparent way with full disclosure of what I do and how I vote. It is time for a return to servant leadership on Beacon Hill.

Being your representative should be about improving your life and not my own. I’m ready to bring a new approach and new ideas to Beacon Hill on how best to serve my district and rebuild your trust in the legislature.

Specifically, I will create a 'Constituent Bill of Rights' which will outline what you can expect from me, including:

  • Posting on my website a written explanation of the votes I take within 24 hours after the vote is taken so you don't have to wait for the roll call votes to be printed in the newspaper weeks later or dig through a complicated maze on the legislature's website.
  • Using tools like Facebook, Twitter, email and more frequent and conveniently located district hours, I will stay in touch with my constituents and give you a real-time, transparent picture of my work on your behalf on Beacon Hill and give you access to me in person when and where it is convenient for you and not just convenient for me.
  • Abiding by a self-imposed term limit and by not participating in the state employee pension fund. I don't work for the state, I work for those who elected me.
