As Beverly's state representative, it is my responsibility to put Beverly's needs, and not party leadership, first when voting on legislation on Beacon Hill.

It is inexcusable to see Beverly's state representative continue to support budgets that reduce Beverly's local aid, to give the Governor 9c budget-cutting authority to subject the city to further local aid cuts and not do more to give the city key cost-savings tools such as the authority to make key decisions on municipal employee health insurance coverage.
